BTC-building
BTC-Twente is established in 1982. The BTC-building was the first and at that time only location for entrepreneurs to settle. After widely 35 years the BTC-building will disappear in 2018. Because of the development of the Kennispark area, the BTC-building is sold December the 15th 2017 with the intention to be demolished. During springtime the demolition will start to realise the construction of the Demcon Technology Center. Since its opening in 1982, some 700 companies have formed their strong foundations here to support their further growth. On March 26th the offices of BTC-Twente have moved to Capitool 50.
“The first business incubator of The Nederlands has meant a lot for Kennispark and the area and it is important to remember this at the moment the building will be demolished”, according to alderman Patrick Welman during the Twente Top last December.
Our buildings
Despite the demolition of the BTC-building the unique rental concept of BTC-Twente will be continued. At BTC-Twente entrepeneurs can choose between 4 different buildings in Enschede, at the heart of the knowledge park (Kennispark) and the Business and Science Park, near the technical University of Twente.
